WELCOME TO THE NORTH MISSISSIPPI HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION

Welcome to the North Mississippi Home Builders Association (NMHBA). Our Association was chartered in 1977. Our members not only represent home builders and remodeling professionals but also manufacturers, service providers and other services connected to the building industry. The Association was founded to improve the conditions in the home building industry in two counties under its charter. Those counties include DeSoto and Tate County.

If you’re interested in building a new home or fixing up the one you’re in now, you’ve come to the right place. We have provided information for you to help guide you through this process. With hundreds of member companies employing thousands of workers the Association provides its members with a wide variety of services, programs, legislative representation and membership opportunities. The Association is one of more than 800 such local associations throughout the nation.

USE A LICENSED BUILDER

Make sure your hire a licensed builder or remodeler. The licensed builder has been tested on his or her building or remodeling knowledge or has proven past experience in the trade. To find a licensed builder contact the Mississippi Board of Contractors at 800-880-6161.

The North Mississippi Home Builders Association does not have the legal authority to service consumer complaints, but are welcome to call the Mississippi Board of Contractors at 800-880-6161.

The North Mississippi Home Builders Association is a trade association affiliated with the Home Builders Association of Mississippi (HBAM) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) for the purpose of creating a climate conducive to the production of housing in DeSoto and Tate County market.
